How the BT-Group hit the silver screen

It started with a bang. Camera and sound equipment were brought in, spotlights clicked and a bustling crowd streamed through the doors of BT Group Holding. Cables snaked through the corridors, tables were moved and our office was transformed into a real investigation centre - at least in front of the camera.

Where otherwise innovative and holistic intralogistics solutions are developed, a mysterious case suddenly dominated everyday life. Instead of working on intelligent storage systems, reliable transport systems and sophisticated control concepts, the ECE-LOG offices were suddenly all about crime scenes, suspects and the perfect scene in the ideal light.

The hustle and bustle of a film set were a welcome change. Seeing how our office quickly became a stage made for an interesting working day. And yet our day-to-day work continued in as usual - two worlds colliding for a day. And just as quickly as the hustle and bustle came, it was over again. Cables were rolled up, spotlights stowed away and the office returned to what it does best: a place where innovative technology solutions are created.

"It was exciting to be in the spotlight for once, even if it was only about our office," says colleague Del Negro, with a twinkle in her eye. And who knows? Perhaps one day our office will become a stage again. Until then, we are focussing on solving real challenges for our customers - without the spotlight. Because good technological solutions play the best leading role every day.
