Martial arts talent from our own ranks

Electrical engineering trainee finishes second in Savate World Championships

At just 18 years old, BT-Systems trainee Mohammad Hossain Haidari has achieved an impressive feat: He finished second in the World Championships of French martial art Savate.

Since 1 October 2024, Haidari has been completing an apprenticeship in electrical engineering at the BT-Anlagenbau competence center and has managed to excel as a martial artist in his free time despite his professional commitments. The World Championships took place in Slovenia in mid-October. In the "Plume up to 56 kg" weight class, Haidari impressed with his technique and stamina and was rewarded with the title of vice world champion.

Savate, originally practised by French sailors from Marseille, combines punches and kicks and stands out from other fighting styles such as kickboxing or karate due to its special technique. This special sport requires not only physical fitness, but also strategic thinking and precision.

The management is very proud of the outstanding performance of apprentice Haidari and congratulates him warmly on this exceptional success. His achievement is not only a personal triumph, but also an inspiring example for all employees.
