BoxFreezer exported to Sri Lanka

The Crysbro Group of Companies, a leading player in Sri Lanka's poultry industry, has chosen to implement the BoxFreezer system from AAT-Freezing. With this investment, Crysbro strengthens its production processes and responds to the increasing demands for quality and efficiency in poultry processing.

Since its founding by Mohamed Imtiaz in 1972, Crysbro has developed from a small farm with 100 chickens into a vertically integrated company with five subsidiaries Complete control over the entire value chain – from breeding and hatcheries to the packaged end product – enables Crysbro to guarantee the highest quality standards.

The BoxFreezer plays a crucial role in this process. Unlike traditional Blast-Freezing methods, this system ensures rapid and uniform freezing of products. The side-mounted air coolers direct airflow straight through the product stacks, reducing freezing times, which leads to better preservation of meat structure and nutrients.

With a capacity of up to 9,000 kg per hour, the BoxFreezer allows flexible processing of various product types and freezing times. In addition, the system offers the option to deactivate individual zones during lower production loads to reduce energy consumption.

As part of the automation process, the packaging line has also been optimized. From deboning to freezing, the process runs seamlessly and efficiently, reducing staff requirements in the freezing and logistics departments by 50%. Supported by an ammonia refrigeration system, the temperature inside the BoxFreezer remains constant at -40 °C, a key factor for product quality.

Another feature of the BoxFreezer system is its digital control. All processes can be monitored via mobile devices, and the equipment provider can carry out preventive maintenance remotely. This ensures smooth operations and reduces downtime.
