A breath of fresh air at the REDWAVE competence center

Jürgen Morri assumes leadership role

With strategic vision, technical expertise and a keen sense for people, Jürgen Morri took over as the new general manager and authorised signatory of the competence center at REDWAVE on 1 June 2025 - bringing with him not only many years of experience, but also clear leadership skills.

A man with ambition
Jürgen Morri has been part of REDWAVE for eight years and is a permanent fixture in the company. Most recently, he successfully managed the Metal Recycling & Mineral Solutions division for three years and played a key role in shaping the further development and strategic direction of the product portfolio in this role. Prior to this, he gained extensive experience at renowned industrial companies - including in engineering, international sales and management positions. This broad experience in technology, sales and management - complemented by a sound education in mechanical engineering and industrial engineering - characterises his strategic approach and makes him an accomplished bridge builder between the market, people and technology. As the new head of the REDWAVE competence center, Jürgen Morri is taking on a key role at BT-Systems: with the aim of driving innovation, bundling technological strengths and further developing processes in a targeted manner.

Expertise with personality
Colleagues describe him as analytical, solution-orientated and at the same time as a manager who listens and stands up for his employees. His management philosophy is based on transparency, trust and the desire to develop people. He sums it up as follows: "Technological strength is not created by lone wolves, but by interdisciplinary teams pursuing a common goal. I am delighted to be able to help shape this development."

Privately a pleasure-seeker with a penchant for speed
Away from his day-to-day work, Jürgen Morri finds his balance in many different ways: When he's not cycling through the Alps or exploring the Italian coast with his family, he swaps his office chair for the driver's seat of his sports car. Spending time together with his wife and two children is particularly important to him - be it on extended trips or relaxed evenings with good food, ideally with Italian flair. "Bella Italia is one of my favourite destinations - the sun, good food and the Italian way of life are simply good for you. Our children are now almost 20 and often prefer their own adventures and other travelling companions, but: A bit of togetherness is good every so often," he says about his private life with a smile on his face.

Outlook with confidence
"The time of the merger was very challenging - both in organisational and human terms. Different structures, established work methods and expectations regarding roles and responsibilities - all of this had to come together first. Today, we can look back on a process that was not always easy, but a pioneering one - with a clear focus on a shared future, innovative projects and a technological edge," says Jürgen Morri. He is convinced: Innovative strength is created where people take responsibility, allow ideas to flow and work together on solutions. His management style is characterised by openness, team orientation and the desire to develop potential. With Jürgen Morri at the head of the competence center REDWAVE relies on a mixture of experience, innovative spirit and clear values. We look forward to new ideas, creative solutions and inspiring collaboration. When asked about his hopes in his new role and for REDWAVE as a whole, Jürgen Morri replies: "I hope that we will continue to grow together as a team - professionally, personally and in terms of our business. REDWAVE has enormous potential, and I am convinced that: If we utilise our strengths wisely and remain open to new ideas, we can continue to achieve a great deal in the future."
