Technologies for a brand new world

The world is in a spirit of optimism. It is not always as obvious as it is now, but change is always happening. In the economy in particular, the waves are unstoppable and stormy. Outsourcing production to cheaper countries, fewer qualified skilled workers, declining quality and longer delivery times are all developments of recent years. But instead of getting carried away, BT-Systems has decided to surf this wave differently. A strong foundation of three family-owned companies with a total of more than 113 years of experience and a strong value system is the foundation of the newly organised BT-Systems GmbH. AAT GmbH, BT-Anlagenbau GmbH and BT-Wolfgang Binder GmbH have been united.

The two managing directors are proud of the three great company histories and the step they have taken to move forward together into the future. Wolfgang Binder, the founder of the company, who established and built up the company 37 years ago and has already been increasingly involved in the financial part of the entire group in recent years, is now also responsible for the entire financial sector of BT-Systems as Chief Financial Officer. As Chief Gerald Kreiner, who has now been Managing Director of BT-Anlagenbau for almost 14 years, is the Executive Officer responsible for the operational business with Human Resources and Quality Management and is the company's public contact.

Two managing directors, five authorised signatories and 400 highly qualified, highly trained employees are now a team under the joint name BT-Systems GmbH. They are united under one brand, one outfit, one logo and one mission. BT-Systems offers its customers innovative solutions of the highest quality with short delivery times – and has become the world market leader in various areas. The greatest strengths lie in the intralogistics area ECE-LOG with the channel storage system and the incredible development lead in hyperspectral analysis in the area of image processing of the competence center BT-Anlagenbau. We are one of the most innovative companies in the world in this area.

In particular, the testing of liquids for quality assurance in the pharmaceutical industry is a quantum leap in the sector. BT-Systems has ushered in a completely new era in switch cabinet construction. The new fully automatic wire assembly system and the processing center, both in conjunction with state-of-the-art 3D switchgear planning, guarantee customers precisely reproducible switchgear that cannot be surpassed in terms of quality and delivery time.

With our sensor-supported REDWAVE sorting machines, we are also a leading manufacturer in the field of recyclable material processing, from plastic and glass sorting to textile recycling.

Based on machine learning and artificial intelligence, system availability and sorting efficiency are increased and yield and purity are maximised. Individual, customised solutions in the field of conveyor technology, especially for the automotive industry, as well as the production of special machines, characterise our product portfolio in the AAT competence center, as do our innovative BoxFreezer systems for shock freezing food. With this pioneering technology, we have long been one of the leaders in this market segment.

Thanks to the newly bundled forces, utilisation peaks can now be balanced out perfectly. The process of quoting, ordering and invoicing between the individual companies is also eliminated and replaced by an uncomplicated workflow. This strengthens the four competence centers conveyor technology/freezer (competence center AAT), automation with the HSE-team department (competence center BT-Anlagenbau), storage technology (competence center ECE-LOG) and processing and recyclables (competence center REDWAVE) with the REDWAVE product. Each competence center strengthens the others and thus gives stability to the whole. This is reflected in the same structures, the same working conditions, the same employee benefits and, as already mentioned, a common external image.
 

The renowned agency Faschingbauer & Schaar, based in Graz, is responsible for the new logo. With contracts such as Siemens AG, the rebranding of Andritz AG and Mayr Melnhof Holz, they were very well prepared to realise the merger and further development of BT-Systems into an international brand. This is how the new logo was created, which values the roots and history, the lines – which have always historically symbolised the channels of the camp projects – as well as the new orientation, the globe, in a very modern way. Although the production focus will always be on the domestic region, the simplification of the new logo also offers scope for an international orientation. It will soon characterise the entire appearance of BT-Systems.

With a total turnover of 150 million euros, a team of over 400 highly trained, highly motivated employees and a capacity utilisation until the middle of 2026, we are looking forward to ushering in a new, joint era at the same time as the largest order in the company's history, which was received in August – a channel storage system for the tissue paper industry in America. By joining forces, we are changing the world together.
